Impact of the Pumping Regime on Electricity Cost Savings in Urban Water Supply System

The main purpose of the presented research is to raise efficiency pumping stations’ operational work by developing a model for reducing energy costs in urban water supply systems. Pumping systems are responsible significant portion total electrical use. Significant opportunities exist reduce through smart design, retrofitting, and operating practices. Today, considering increase prices conveyance systems, problem optimal operation stations very actual. was determined using Genetic Algorithm Optimization (GAO) achieve minimum cost. paper presents novel management design on real case study town Gonabad Iran. To this goal, three days year were selected randomly. results indicate that proposed mode conjunction with GAO versatile station. Modeling show optimization reduces power consumption about 15–20%.
